Maybe all FE are binned. So while the Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle OC have a 1755 MHz Boost clock it actually often boosts even higher (Ive seen up to 1900 MHz). Hi I have rtx 3090 Msi Suprim X, bought in April 2021. For a few generations of GPUs now the GPUs have no longer been running with a set clockspeed instead boosting to a higher clockspeed that is partly determined by power target limit and temperatures. I recently purchased a Palit RTX 3090 GamingPro which is running very hot and the fans are maxed out. So the card runs constantly in every scenario with 1785Mhz at a maximum of 285Watt (rare applications like division 2 can even slightly exceed this). Edit: temp is 60c. I know how to undervolt with MSI Afterburner blindly. Great settings. Youtuber Frame Chasers reminded he saw 200mhz max overclock difference on rtx3090 cards. Games crashes after a couple of minutes. Like i say i think ive missed my chance to get a card out of this batch due to changing my order. The hash rate is about 1mhigher. I was happy with the TUF and didn't know it. Computer nerd since 1983, audio freak since 1979 and pretty much open to anything with a plug or battery for over 50 years. Card ate 480w in an instant lol. Upvoted so we see a pattern. Drag the dot to the frequency you want. 3090 Ti MeowCoin Mining Setting The RTX 3090 Ti provides 66 Mh/s hashrate on MEWC with a power consumption of 450 watts. Posted in Troubleshooting, By If you look at recent generations the card with the highest OC'd cores / memory is rarely the one with the highest fps. Just curious what other undervolters are doing with their FEs, and maybe see if there's an opinion that I could personally do something better. It made overclocking a piece of cake without the inherent base activity. But wauw. If the test drops below the 97.5% in framerate stability, the test will stop (fail). You will not achieve this by lowering the power limit or only with very bad values. Tweaking the curve a bit brings it to 82-83C at a slower fan curve that I find comparable noise wise to the TUF's stock one. I seriously hope it's true. In order to make all of this a bit more interesting, the Gigabyte and the Asus card compete against each other in undervolting this time, and that in each case representatively in variant 1 lower the power limit and simultaneously overclock and variant 2 fixed voltage and clock. I guess I'll re-sell it with a smaller profit than it could net me sealed. I think most of us are pretty familiar with the concept of overclocking. Silicon varies but so does the program you're stress testing the undervolt with. Bjrn Endre
Posted in New Builds and Planning, By In game mine clocks to 2025mhz with these settings. I am able to run this at 1920 MHz Clock, +250MHz Mem (Haven't tried to max this out yet), but at 430W power draw, and 70 C. When I run those same settings on Heaven, I hit 380W, 62 C. Will report back after I game a bit more and test with Time Spy Stress Test for framerate stability. Also, if your undervolt settings is just enough unstable to drop a frame or two in total under the full run, that could lower the score aswell of course. - Very theoretically extend the life of the card (less heat) My preferred settings on a 3080 Gigabyte Gaming OC - 875mV set to a upper curve of 1965Mhz (down from 2000Mhz ish in many games stock) But the temperature is just comparable with my TUF OC (up to 75C), consuming around the same amount of power as the TUF (up to 320W), but much noisier at stock fan speeds. I did confirmed actual clockrates , not mhz setuped in MSI afterburner. then you have the most insane god-tier golden sample silicon chip I have ever seen. Posted in Troubleshooting, Linus Media Group The memory also gets +650Mhz as in the gigabyte, we leave some room for the maximum overclocking value to preserve the components. In some scenarios that generate very little load, the card remains below the 330 watt limit, especially in lower resolutions. Started 48 minutes ago Powered by Invision Community. LTT bilibili channel hits a million subs. I also noticed that by default the card sets the target temperature internally to be 70C despite a temperature threshold being set in MSI Afterburner. Believe it or not, today I got my hands on a 3090 FTW3 Ultra and I gotta say I'm disappointed. I choose first to set the voltage to 825 mV. After running the Port Royal Stress Test again, I need to lower to 1830 @ 850 mV so I guess I'm not too far off from your results. $1500, comes with invoice and packaging. My card is still totally stable, with the undervolt and maxing out the Ray Tracing in the benchmark. I thought I knew what was normal. Like I said (I'm not 100% on this) but anything over around 0.83 volts and the card will try and use the full 350 watts, on the FE anyway. We save here compared to the Gigabyte @Stock 85 watts and compared to the standard setting of the TUF 65 watts at least! I would describe my cooling as relatively good. I saw many people to change rtx 3090s 4x but gained silicon lottery on same volts 30-45mhz yeah not good. I have no clue how mining affects graphics cards. You say that like I'm making my performance worse than stock. I have the voltage capped at 875mV which is about around 10% less voltage than stock and the core clock locked at 1950Mhz. max many times up to 60, not using full gpu power anyhow happy finally. Just a note, my card is mounted vertical/aircooled so probably not efficient as it should be. What if you instead could find a way to lower both the temperature and the power draw while still getting almost the same performance? I shouldn't have opened its box. Could someone link some sources of getting to know about it more, or give some few tips, steps on how to do it safely, Also already done settings by evga 3090 would be very much appriciarted too (but that's way too much to ask for i guess ;/ ). Nice undervolt you have. Remember that you take full responsibility when messing with your card. We of course do not want this so now it is time to create a better curve that will allow the card to clock down but still not go over the set voltage. If my GPU was able to do that, I would use that setting. But still, 1791 wasn't even stable on ~820mV. ZOTAC today launched its GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity Ampere graphics card. Well, there is. Latest driver as for all settings. Now that crashes fast. In the end you should set the volate to a value, test it with stress test-software, if it works possibly lower it a bit more and so on. If you are currently looking for a suitable model, here are the values of the TUF @ Stock under the same conditions. My 3090 can't do that, and it's a shame, because Optimum Tech reports his 3090 draws 71 watt less at 1800MHz using 806mV and that'spretty good. Apply the curve using the apply button on the main afterburner window. I was told by a little birdie that the next large batch was available on friday. Sorry that it seems like I want to try and find the "Whyit isn't true". Otherwise, the default setting will run the card in around 120 watts. So I got my 3090 Strix and so far tested exclusively at 0.850 V usingMaxes out RT cores demo. What-ever you do, you need to re-test after each change which can take some time. Yeah I'll try and play around with that tomorrow. I have99.5% frame rate stability with my current undervolt. It seems that the power hungry design does make it run hotter. You already know the first article, but of course you can read it again here: GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 Undervolting When Reason and Experimentation Meet NVIDIA Ampere. Yes I totally agree. Aha, so you haven't tested 2000MHz at 0.7mV in games or stress tests? Under the test, with my previous undervolt setting, that used 100% (stock) on the powerslider, my GPU clock dropped from the 1815MHz to 1750-ish MHz, because maximum power was hit (the 100%). ASUS RTX 3090 ROG Strix 24 GB OC GPU in great condition with two years warranty left. My chip is just normal, I think most 3090 can do it. The eBay seller didn't modify the card or use it at all?
Happy for you!! There are three GPU fans and two of them are grouped into one so you can see they are running at roughly 3500RPM. You're damn lucky IMO. Yeah you gotta flatten the curve really early otherwise it does weird things. For reference the CPU temperatures were sitting at around 50-60C. So no matter what, it downclocks to meet the 70C. Use minerstat and set up automated Profit Switching system on your mining rig. Im a little confused why you would buy a 3090 and then not use the extra performance over the 3080? Mine is slightly more reduction because I also reduced the memory speed a bit since it makes virtually no difference, and the clock speed is on the low end. I expected the card to be power hungry at stock, and it was, by sucking up to 400W to achieve 1900MHz on Heaven. Temp is not quite accurate because I run the benchmark from idle. In the end you should set the volate to a value, test it with stress test-software, if it works possibly lower it a bit more and so on. Unfortunately my GPU just isn't stable at 800mV near the 1800MHz core clocks, especially not when RT cores are used at the same time.
